Colaconema formosanum, Sarcodia suae, and Nostoc commune as Fermentation Substrates for Bioactive Substance Production

Bioactive compounds extracted from natural renewable sources have attracted an increased interest both industry and academia. Recently, algae been highlighted as promising of bioactive compounds, such polyphenols, polysaccharides, fatty acids, proteins, pigments, which can be used functional ingredients in many industrial applications. Therefore, a simple green extraction purification methodology capable recovering biocompounds algal biomass is extreme importance commercial production. In this study, we evaluated the application three valuable (Colaconema formosanum, Sarcodia suae, Nostoc commune) combination with Pseudoalteromonas haloplanktis (type strain ATCC 14393) for production versatile compounds. The results illustrate that after 6 h first-stage fermentation, phycobiliproteins C. formosanum was significantly by 156.2%, 188.9%, 254.17% PE, PC, APC, respectively. This indicates enhanced P. haloplanktis. Furthermore, discovered S. suae N. commune were fermented haloplanktis, mannose produced. describe feasible biorefinery process fermenting marine macroalgae cyanobacteria. We believe it worth establishing scale-up technique applying fermentation method to future.
